Start a Drive
Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to give back to your community and make a difference in the lives of dogs in need? Long Road Home Rescue, Inc. is currently seeking volunteers to help with our dog food and supply drive!
By collecting and donating supplies such as dog food, leashes, collars, and dog beds, you can help ensure that our pups in foster care have everything they need to thrive. Whether you’re spreading the word to your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, or Girl or Boy Scout troop, your efforts can make a big impact in the lives of dogs in need.
Our foster homes are always in need of supplies to help care for our pups. By donating supplies, you are helping to relieve some of the financial burden on our foster homes and allowing them to focus on providing the love and care that our pups need to thrive.
To make donating easy and convenient, we have volunteers who are always available to pick up items, or you can drop them off directly at a foster home. And the best part? You get to meet our pups and see the difference your donation is making in their lives!

Home Check
As a volunteer home checker for Long Road Home Rescue, Inc., you play a critical role in ensuring that our pups go to loving and safe homes. We rely on volunteers like you to be our eyes and ears when we are unable to physically visit a potential adoption home.
When you visit a potential adoption home, you are not just checking the physical safety of the home. You are also evaluating the family’s ability to provide the love, care, and attention that our pups need to thrive. By asking thoughtful questions and observing the family’s interactions with their current pets, you can help us determine if the family is the right fit for our pup.
In addition to providing valuable information to Long Road Home Rescue, Inc., being a volunteer home checker is a rewarding experience. You have the opportunity to meet new people and play a vital role in saving the lives of dogs in need. By ensuring that our pups go to loving and safe homes, you are helping to break the cycle of abandonment and neglect that many rescue dogs have experienced.

Drivers Wanted
Transporting our pups is a critical part of Long Road Home Rescue, Inc.’s mission to save the lives of dogs in need. By dedicating just a little bit of your time, you can help ensure that our pups get to their foster homes and veterinary appointments safely and on time.
Transporting our pups can be a fun and rewarding experience. You have the opportunity to spend time with our pups and see their excitement as they embark on a new chapter in their lives. You also get to meet other volunteers and supporters of Long Road Home Rescue, Inc. who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of dogs in need.
If you are able to help with transport, we typically need assistance on Saturdays around 11 am when the dogs arrive on transport. From there, the dogs need to be taken to their foster homes so they can settle in and begin their journey to finding their forever home. Transport is also needed to and from the vet’s office for medical appointments and check-ups.
By volunteering to transport our pups, you are helping to ensure that they receive the care and attention they need to thrive. You are also helping to support Long Road Home Rescue, Inc.’s mission to save the lives of dogs in need and find them loving homes.

Photographers Wanted
Calling all amateur and professional photographers!
Are you a passionate photographer looking for a fun and meaningful way to use your skills to make a difference in the lives of dogs in need? Long Road Home Rescue, Inc. is currently seeking dedicated volunteers to take photos of our pups!
As a volunteer photographer, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase our adorable pups and help them find their forever homes. Your photos will be featured on our website, adopt a pet, Facebook, Petfinder, Rescue Me, and more!
We’re looking for volunteers who are at least 18 years old and have their own transportation. But most importantly, we’re seeking individuals who are creative and imaginative! If you have some experience taking photos of pups, that’s a plus, but don’t worry if you’re a beginner – we can give you some tips and tricks to help you capture the perfect shot.
By volunteering your time and skills as a photographer, you’ll be helping to give our pups the best chance at finding their forever homes. Your photos will help showcase each pup’s unique personality and spirit, and help potential adopters get a better sense of what life with their new furry friend could be like.
